Target vs Kmart

Over the past several years I have made a living cleaning up after people, whether it be cleaning out repossessed homes or lot sweeping at local retail stores. You find a lot of interesting things that are left behind or left for trash. The one thing I have noticed is that you can tell a lot about a person and their habits just by their trash. Through all this "trash picking" I have came to the conclusion that there are two types of people and/or shoppers in the world. There are Target people and Kmart people. This is purely based on the trash that I pick up in the lot, the time of day I am at these stores they are not open so I never actually see the customers.


Target people are a lot cleaner than Kmart people and what I mean by that is if they are going to dump there fast food leftovers they leave it in the bag, Kmart people just dump it all over. Target people have a tendency to eat at more pricey fast food places like Arby's and Kmart people enjoy White Castle and McD's. This also holds true with soda, Target peeps like name brand sodas like Pepsi and Mt Dew and Kmart peeps love them some Faygo! Kmartians are generally older and enjoy lottery scratch offs and cigarettes and are not opposed to dumping a carton of smoked butts on the lot. However just as bad as cleaning up butts but much healthier Target peps love some popcorn! Now I said earlier that Target people are a lot cleaner than Kmart people which is true in the amount of trash but the younger crowd at Target are not afraid to change a diaper in their car and just leave it in the lot, not always wrapping it up. Now you may think this is disgusting (and it is!) but Kmart people one up this with their used condoms! The Kmart crowd doesn't need a garage to change the oil in there car either when they have a parking lot to do it in. Team Target is a not to concerned with money either and this is evident in the occasional $50 bill blowing across the lot.


To sum it up the Target people of the world tend to be mid to upper class, younger, and healthier where as the Kmart people are mid to lower class, older, and lets face it dirty! Now I know what you are thinking, where does this leave Walmart and the "People of Walmart"? I am sure most of you have seen the People of Walmart webs site http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/ and I can explain this. Walmart being the great corporate giant that it is brings the people of the world together! The people in these Walmart pictures are....you guessed it, Kmart people and the people taking the pics are Target people! Walmart is the center of these two worlds and brings all mankind together!
