OK here we go! As you all well know I can be very opinionated and in most cases its all in good fun. I don't take myself to serious and I hope you all don't either. Most of my opinions are expressed in short little splurs on facebook or twitter (@MarkAMillerJr) but there are times when I have more to say and don't because I am limited on these social networks. I am not a writer and don't inspire to be one but I found myself inspired to share my worst day ever with some friends and family via email yesterday. This has brought me to this blog site with thoughts of sharing my day with others and a resent blog from my brother in law, Tom McDonald. I found a great release from sharing my horrible day with others and feel like it may be a good way to get things off of my chest. As you can already tell I have a tendency to ramble with run on sentences and other nonsense but bare with me. So here is my worst day ever. let me know what you think!
Ever feel like you had a crappy day? Well the next time you do read this and I hope it makes you feel better!
My day today:
I got up about 6am to go to work to plow a few repo driveways, pretty easy day or so I thought. Drove by Target to check on the lot and it needed some attention. After calling in another guy and finishing Target it started to snow! So I went to Aldi's to work on that lot because they opened at 9, after just about finishing it a hydraulic hose blew on my snow plow! At this point I have to call in a second guy to cover for me while I go back to the shop to repair my blade.
I am now at the shop not finding the right hose that I need, fortunately I find another hose I can make work. Fill up the hydraulic fluid and check the blade and it works great....for a second. A second hose blows and now I am really screwed cause I am out of hoses! I go to Lowes to get parts to try to fix that hose. Now I am in Lowes parts in hand and swiping my debit card for the $3.50 part, OH WAIT cancel! cancel!, I need cash so I cancel the transaction and get an additional $20 for the day.
Got the blade fixed and head to Best Buy to plow because it is still snowing and they had called. As soon as I drop the blade the hose blows again! At this point I am ready to go home! I switched trucks and went on to Walmart to plow. No issues, so it is now time for the repos at 12pm, I'm thinking about the fact that I could have been done by now!
Later in the afternoon I am in Tipton, Indiana (hour + from Muncie) and getting ready to head to Elwood the whole time thinking I better fuel up as soon as I get to Elwood. 1/2 mile outside of Tipton I run out of gas! I can't see a gas station in sight so I just start walking back to Tipton. I finally come up on a Swifty gas station and ask the Full service guy if he has a gas can I can use. He says no that he loaned it out last week and the person never returned it. He says the next gas station is another mile down the road. There is no way I am walking another mile so I go in the Alco across the street to get a gas can. The gas can is $13.99 so I go to pay for it and I realize that somewhere between Lowes in Muncie and Alco in Tipton I have lost my debit card! I have already spent $4 of my $20 on lunch, after paying for the gas can I have $2.03 left for gas to get me to a Marathon (which I have a work gas card for) not knowing how far away the Marathon is from my truck. I get the less than 1 gallon of fuel and head to the truck praying that I can find a Marathon close. I get to the truck and the stupid vent free gas can will not go into the gas tank! I take an empty soda can and rip open the top and fill it with fuel, dump it in the tank, and repeat several times. Finally I am ready to go and fortunately I have my GPS that tells me the closest Marathon is 1 1/2 miles away (the station the guy told me about). Hoping I can make it I try to start the truck with no luck. After several tries and finally getting the fuel moving I get it started. I barely make it to the gas station running out of fuel pulling into the lot.
Surely nothing else can go wrong! I get the rest of the work done and finally make it home to take a hot shower and relax to some playoff football. Not the case the shower was cold cause Sherry had recently ran the dishwasher and Jacob just got out of the shower! Not there fault cause they didn't know when I would be home but just my luck!
Hope this may bring a laugh or cheer you up on a rough day.

This is by far the defintion of a bad day. I think you're due for a make up day. Days like this would lead me to heavy drinking.
